A pastor in Makueni county is wanted for allegedly raping a woman during prayer.
The alleged rape occured on tuesday, 7th August at around 1030hrs in Katune village, Katune sublocation within Mulala location in Makueni County.
According to police report Ndunge Muiya, the victim, A mother of three had gone to visit her sister namely Sicilia Mbithe for a prayer intervention by one Pastor Mutua. She was in company of her sister in law and mother in law.
A report filed at Emali Police Station indicates that the pastor prayed for them each in turns as the others waited outside the house. When Ndunge’s turn came she went into the house being alone with the pastor and as the prayer session was on going the pastor took advantage of her submission and went on to insert his fingers into her private parts before finally having carnal knowledge of her without her consent in the pretext of administration of spiritual blessings.
When the session with the pastor was through she walked outside and narrated her ordeal to the rest with a view of establishing whether they were taken through a similar process but they told her it was not so. Together they confronted the pastor but he rebutted them off and fled away on a motor cycle he had came in with telling them it was upto them to remain with their problems.
Ndunge was then escorted to Emali model clinic for initial medical checkup by the family members and later filled the complaint with police under OB 33/08/08/18
Police later visited the scene and took the Victim to Sultan Hamud subcounty hospital for futher medical analysis.
The suspect is still at large and efforts to arrest and charge him for the offence are ongoing.
