Kitui South Member of Parliament Dr Rachael Kaki Nyamai has appealed to ukambani leaders to be united in order to bring progress and development to ukambani region.
Speaking at UAE primary school in Mutomo, Kitui south, Kaki said that embracing unity will provide a platform for leaders to share ideas and policies that will spur development.
She urged the ukambani leaders to unify and work together for the purpose of development.
Hon Kaki made the appeal during a fundraiser at a Goodnews Church of Africa (GNCA).
The fundraiser was attended by ukambani leaders among them Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Kitui governor Hon Charity Ngilu.
The MP explained that the construction of Kitui-Kibwezi road by the jubilee government will boast the economy and reduce poverty in the area once complete
she said she was optimistic the jubilee government will initiate development projects in Kitui county in the next five year.
